Summary

Warehouse Laborer

Position Summary

Warehouse Laborer (WL) is responsible for assisting in the selection and packing of materials for promotional events. They will also assist in building “kits” or effectively packaging pallets in a manner that allows for efficient use of product by end user. They will assist in maintenance to include cleaning of assets, basic assembly when needed and other similar activities related to packing and shipping of materials as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations
  • Perform duties related to the requisition, reception, storage, and disbursement of materials and supplies.
  • Responsible for the selection of specific products in specific quantities to be prepared for shipment to events. Requires strong attention to detail to ensure proper items and quantities are selected and placed according to program plan and specifics. Selecting various items for packing and shipping to single or multiple locations.
  • Work with incoming and outgoing shipments as directed. Responsible for accurately reporting inbound and outbound counts, effectively communicating any discrepancies.
  • Check inbound shipments and inspect materials to insure accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality.
  • Select space and prepare stock for storage, and place materials in designated areas.
  • Prepare order for delivery, disburse stock, and assist in the maintenance of records.
  • Control and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting physical counts and report accordingly


Maintenance
  • Inspect and perform regular maintenance and cleaning on items returning from the field, appropriately reporting damage or restoration needs to ensure they are event ready as directed
  • Maintain safety standards by performing regular maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping activities throughout the office and/or warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications


Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience



Field of Study/Area of Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping-receiving, stockroom, or promotions set up experience


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment
  • Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Internet usage
  • Team building Skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
