Position Description

The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employees. We have a challenging opportunity for a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst/Test Engineer.

Job Summary:
The Lead QA Analyst/Test Engineer is responsible for coordinating product testing process and efforts, including: defining testing strategy, delegating testing resources, managing defects, generating reports, communicating issues, developing and analyzing test plans, documenting test results, conducting release readiness reviews, reviewing documentation, and writing/reviewing KB articles.


Key Responsibilities:
• Define/Coordinate project specific test strategy, schedules, and resources
• Develop and execute software test plans and analyze the test results
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deadlines
• Define and assess test practices, standards, process, skills, organization, etc.
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
• Analyze and report on test execution results
• Attend all project meetings and report the current status of testing and be prepared to discuss any outstanding issues
• Define and oversee the implementation of a proven automation strategy
• Monitor performance of Team Members and coach as necessary
• Provide performance reviews of team members
• Assist with getting test resources (staff, hardware, outsourcing etc.)
• Manage the Defect Tracking database
• Work with team members to improve their knowledge and understanding of the product, related technologies, and the testing techniques and procedures
• Analyze effectiveness of testing activities and make improvements to overall SQA processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience managing a disperse Software Quality Assurance Testing team
• 5+ years of experience in automation testing
• Experience with TestComplete, Quicktest Pro, or similar products with C#, C++, .NET, and/or web based applications preferred
• Agile Scrum Testing methodology experience desired
• Scripting experience using one or more of the following: VBScript, DelphiScript, JScript, C++Script or C#Script a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with MS SQL and Sybase databases
• Certified Tester (e.g. ISTQB or CSQA)
• Team lead experience within a QA environment
• Bachelor’s degree
Professional Skills:
• Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
