The newly renovated historic Granville Inn is seeking service-minded superstars to join our team as P.M. Restaurant Servers. The P.M. server must be comfortable serving guests, taking drink orders, helping with the breakdown and cleanup of the Tavern after meal times, taking room service calls and delivering the orders to rooms. Bartending experience is a plus. Expected start date(s) of this position is 4/8/15 for the first server hired and 4/22/15 for those hired after.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possesses knowledge of food and beverages served.
- Able to properly set tables.
- Understand mechanics of service and can arrange tables for large parties.
- Collecting payment and operating point of sale system.
- Balance cash receipts.
- Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Must be able to use POS system.
- Must be able to take orders and give proper, professional service to guests.
- Takes room service orders and properly completes them, including delivery.
- Applicable knowledge and ability to mix and serve alcohol drinks as needed.
- Appears and acts in a professional manner.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager.

Requirements
- Micros experience preferred
- Bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper etiquette and service standards.
- High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.
- English language and professional communications skills are required.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have at least 1-2 year prior restaurant serving experience.
- Must have solid understanding of safe food handling practices.
- Bartending experience a plus.
- Understanding of wine pairings a plus.
