GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Departmental Process Engineer will provide engineering support, and be responsible for process improvements in cost, quality, and safety

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

Manage projects end to end which align with business strategies and drive continuous improvement. Assist in gathering, analysis and presenting of data as pertinent to project or quality initiatives Drive quality and process improvement efforts established by the business and operations leadership Define analytics package and implement Statistical process control within given department Define processes including but not limited to current state mapping, future state mapping, gap analysis, value stream mapping. Identify, create, monitor, and maintain key performance indicators including but not limited to teammate productivity, quality audits, and departmental service level agreements Assist in developing a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout DaVita Rx to create teammate ownership of quality in daily activities including documentation, development and review, continuous improvement projects to address gaps in current processes or quality Assist in continuing education throughout the pharmacy around “Continuous Quality Improvement” which may include but is not limited to LEAN Six Sigma and DaVita’s internal CQI concepts Maintain current knowledge of Quality and Process department operations issues and trends through education, seminars, and research Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Travel required: up to 05%

The shining star in this role should have these Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field required 3-8 years of experience in a process improvement role including but not limited to; Experience in Quality Assurance preferred Experience with quality systems (ISO, FDA, MS16000, etc.) Experience in quality systems and implementation of quality tools including Six Sigma principles preferred Experience in implementation of formal quality systems strongly preferred Experience in start-up organizations with aggressive growth plans preferred Demonstrated understanding of process improvement preferred, LEAN preferred Experience in healthcare a plus Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; intermediate proficiency in Minitab and AutoCAD preferred
