POSITION PURPOSE -
  • The purpose of the Project Manager, Finance position is to provide effective management of key finance projects and to prepare financial forecasts for use in the development of financial decisions. This role will also be instrumental in assisting with team process standardization/process improvements.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
  • 40% PROJECT CONTROL - Develops an effective plan for controlling project scope, schedule and cost, and monitors project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed.
  • 30% PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS - Develops an effective plan for communicating project information to the project team and to the project stakeholders.
  • 10% PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT - Leads the definition of project risks and the required mitigation approaches.
  • 10% PROJECT LESSONS LEARNED - At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to peer Project Managers.
  • 10% PROJECT ENVIRONMENT - Shares responsibility with the project leadership for providing a good working environment.
NATURE AND SCOPE -
  • Position reports to Finance Sr. Manager
  • No direct reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass the Background Check.
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
EDUCATION REQUIRED -
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 03

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Passion for navigating data
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • SQL experience/ data scientist
  • Prior experience in corporate finance and/or retail
  • High level understanding of Inventory/Inventory Turnover
  • Detailed Oriented
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
  • Ability to perform detailed analyses as well as create executive summaries of the analyses.
  • Ability to present and defend own work and work of others to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to influence the decisions of individuals that you do not supervise.
