Sodexo is seeking a Per Diem Registered Dietitian at Colleton Medical Center . This position will work 1 weekend day every two weeks and as needed. Colleton Medical Center is a 135 bed acute care community hospital in beautiful Walterboro, SC, only 1 hr from Charleston. CMC has a very diverse population helping patients with renal disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, oncology, pulmonary, as well as many other diseases.
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the ideal candidate will:
Work as a part of the inpatient clinical team providing nutrition therapy to the acute care inpatient population and nutritional care to the general population
Manage the nutrition care process
Provide education to patients, as well as staff and work closely with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
Have strong time management and organizational skills
Be involved in performance improvement
Licensure in South Carolina required

Position Summary
Knowledge of nutrition care principles for acutely or chronically ill patients/residents within specialty areas (e.g., pediatrics, diabetes, cardiovascular). Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
