Food Operations Manager 1 - Full-time / Part-time

40288 - Sodexo is seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager for Covenant Village Retirement Community in Turlock, CA , just 15 miles south of Modesto. Position manages Food & Nutrition Services for residents in skilled care; to ensure client and resident satisfaction and contract retention. Position implements business practices in order to uphold company and client’s mission and values. Position contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services and programs. Responsibilities; resident dining services, resident satisfaction enhancements, spreadsheets for menu production, automated food management systems, healthcare kitchen operations, wait-staff training, food safety and sanitation. Position works with Registered Dietitian on; self-audits for clinical nutrition care standards and implementation of new clinical programs. Position is hands on during dining experiences where you will interface with the client, residents, medical & nursing teams on a regular basis; working collaboratively with several generations in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate Skills / Certifications:

Formal degree & current Servsafe Certificate / Certified Dietary Manager

2 to 4 years of Certified Dietary Management experience

Experience managing up to 20 employees

Self-motivated with Long Term Care experience

Ability to function in interdisciplinary care plan meetings

Experience working with RD implementing clinical programs

Working knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety programs

Computer skills to work in food management systems

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Scheduled days and shifts will vary and will include rotating weekends and holidays.

Position Summary

Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
