The Littleton Voice Network Reliability Center (LVNRC) team within Network Operations provides surveillance and repair for voice services including TDM, Automated Message Accounting (AMA), Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) services, regional and local STP’s, Maintenance Control Office for SS7, LNP repair, Voice Messaging, switch, line, trunk capacity, SS7 translations and provisioning at the Network Reliability Operations Center (NROC). The team functions in a 24x7x365 work environment.

Primary functions are as follows:

Proactively monitors, interprets, analyzes and diagnoses the output of the network to determine the end-to-end status of the network and its elemental components, including 5ESS, AXE10, DMS10, DMS100/200, switches, SS7/STP/SCP’s, AIN, AMA and Voice Messaging. Initiates and coordinates repair and maintenance on the voice network and issues with Central Offices and field operations, internal repair centers and technical support. Communicates and negotiates release for all network arrangement activities with SS7 wholesale customers and functions as Maintenance Control Office (MCO) for SS7 wholesale customers. Knows and can initiate disaster recovery plans. Works with basic to advanced electronic theories, network knowledge, utilizes diagnostic test equipment to isolate trouble and drive both proactive and reactive (demand) repair. Performs call through testing on switch upgrades for 5E & DMS100, ensuring timely and accurate AMA bill recording. Provides support to Risk Management for subpoena requests and internal security issues. Coordinate CenturyLink and non-CenturyLink cuts or rehome of services. Update and maintain point code assignments and build RSTP for LIDB and CNAM. Analyze Gateway Screening and monitor Tekelec STPs for Gateway Screening and MTP routing errors. Provides current and accurate data to internal and external customers. Proactively insures all network switch alarms are repaired and switch is operating at optimum. Job Requirements Qualifications: 3+ years experience troubleshooting network alarm conditions. 3+ years utilizing remote test vehicles, interpreting testing results and error messages to locate fault to ensure end-to-end service continuity. Proven experience with responding to customer reports in a timely and professional manner. 3+ years working with basic and advanced communication devices. 3+ years experience monitoring and analyzing network utilization. 3+ years of switch equipment experience. Familiar with Central Office concepts and principles. Understanding of AC/DC series/parallel circuits. Previous Central Office switch experience.
