Environmental Specialist
Position is contingent upon award of the contract
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects buildings, land, and surroundings for infestation. Sprays chemicals, lays poisonous bait, sets mechanical traps, or any other needed treatment to fix pest problems. May clean areas that harbor pests to prepare area for fumigation. Ensures all work locations have an effective Integrated Pest Management plan in place and adequate inventories. Makes certain that customer satisfaction is achieved with services provided. Under direct supervision, performs routine assigned tasks from instructions, established guidelines, and procedures. Possesses a awareness of a multitude of equipment to eliminate pests using QHSE guidelines. May perform light to heavy duties related to treatment, casing, and removal of harmful pests. Entry level job, skills required for this job are typically acquired by completion of a state license pertaining to work scope or equivalent work experience in lieu of license.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Education Requirements: Associate's Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Years of Experience : 4 years
· Required Certifications: US Vector Control License (Pests and Rodent) Additional requirements:
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
It should be understood that employment may be located in potentially dangerous areas, including combat or war zones. This might involve the possibility of suffering harm by dangerous forces or friendly fire. These dangers are inherent to working conditions in a dangerous environment.
