Position Title: Mechanic

Job Location: Hamilton, MS

Assignment Duration: N/A

Wage: BOE NO PER DIEM

Work Schedule: 4/10’s

Position Description

Repairs and maintains and a variety of equipment which may include: motor vehicles such as internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors; electrical household or commercial appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, or dishwashing machines; or heavy equipment including cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools. Works under general supervision. Requires specialized experience in diesel and automotive repair and maintenance. Installs specified new or reconditioned parts and/or makes required adjustments and reassembles complete unit. Disassembles engines and mechanical units to inspect parts and operating defects. Executes required preventive maintenance procedures. Performs inspections required by the company or government. Promotes teamwork and actively participates in quality improvement process. Promotes safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedure
