Calling all Mechanical Design Engineers!
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join the team to create custom and complex automated manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and documentation of high quality automated manufacturing equipment and all associated tooling. The scope of this work includes mechanical design using Solidworks and engineering analysis of built systems. You will also develop new manufacturing processes and equipment and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing capabilities.
In this role you will also partner with internal teams for the electrical system design and PLC control design and programming, and component selection. You will also work closely with Plant Managers and Division Directors to assure that manufacturing equipment meets the needs of the organization.
Requirements:
-Must have a Bachelor Degree in a related engineering discipline.
-Must have at least 3 years of experience in large industrial machine design or manufacturing machine design.
-Must have experience with Solidworks or similar CAD program for mehcnaical design.
-Must have some exposure to pnuematic, hydraulic, and/or servo-motor design
Preferred Skills:
-Experience with or exposure to PLC control design or programming is strongly preferred but not required.
-Expereince with automated machine design strongly preferred.
This is an 8-12 month project and is a pivotal role to the organization.
