Plastics Process Technician

Area manufacturer is needing experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to join their team.

In this position you would be responsible for setting up and starting up all scheduled production, new tooling and any additional secondary operations. Additional responsibilites include;
  • Submittinb first piece to quality for inspection
  • Assist in the needs of the Press Operator, the Mold Setter, the Set-Up Technician and the Quality Coordinator.
  • May also be required to aid and assist in any troubleshooting or breakdown needs during a production run.
  • Performs color changes, insert changes, and core changes according to the Bill of Materials.
  • Assists in any of the supervisor’s needs and fills in during the absence of the production supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum two (2) years prior performance as a Set-Up Technician
  • Must have prior knowledge of machine operations and mold troubleshooting skills as well as basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
  • Must have knowledge in plastic resins, additives and understanding of technical data sheets and MSDS for materials used
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed/required basis
