Bringing our Retail and Direct Channels together, T-Mobile@Work advances our value proposition to business owners and employees by selling both directly to businesses, as well as across our 3,200 company-owned and T-Mobile premium retailer (TPR) stores. In this newly created position, the Senior Area Director, T-Mobile@Work will develop and execute the sales strategy for this major growth segment. S/he will lead sales of T-Mobile products and services into the small and mid-market space (businesses with 1-10,000 employees), establishing and achieving growth-oriented revenue and margin goals. The Senior Director will build and lead a top notch regional sales organization that enables the full potential and profitability of T-Mobile@Work in the North Central Area. More specifically, this role will assume the following responsibilities:
While the quality and accomplishments of a person's career will be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following requisite qualifications: Minimum 10 years' experience in an executive leadership role (Vice President or Director level) leading a field Business sales organization for a top tier organization. Experience in solution based, consultative sales is required. Proven track record of successfully developing and building strong performing sales teams. Brings a sophisticated sales background and a focus on raising the bar, instilling standards of excellence in his or her team. Proven track record of developing and effectively implementing multi-channel sales strategies, business plans, forecasts and budgets, and achieving sales results. Experienced developing and implementing methods, processes and metrics that have increased productivity for the sales organization Bachelor's degree is desired, although not required; continued education is a plus

- In conjunction with the Area Vice president, build and drive overall direct business sales strategy, and pre and post-sale customer service for penetrating business market sales, focusing on all segments of Direct Sales (small and mid).
- Provide effective People Leadership for a large organization including driving change management activities and developing strong alignment to company culture and performance accountability.
- Provide strategic sales leadership to ensure that the Area achieves profitable revenue growth, continues to increase market share, develops new solution selling competencies, and builds a sustainable industry leadership position in the chosen markets.
- Understand and translate the company's business goals into strategic sales initiatives including: sales training, business opportunity analysis, pre- and post-sale services, solution selling, and customer-driven product feedback.
- Identify growth opportunities and establish Area sales strategy that includes expansion into additional markets and revenue opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans; lead sales forecasting activities, develop annual sales plan, and set performance goals accordingly.
- Lead formulation of the overall sales plan and operating budget for the Area.
- Advise Area VP and other stakeholders on sales directions, competitors and market trends.
- Lead and manage 2 Sales Directors, 3 Senior Managers (Small Business Chicago Advantage Marketing/Sales, and Sales Engineering Chicago), a Small Business Manager, and an Administrative Assistant.
- Assess, recruit, train and ultimately assemble a high caliber sales team; instill and inspire standards of excellence with the team.
- Work closely with Area VP to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs that align with Retail SMB sales strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, to include local and corporate Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance.
- Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base; proactively understand the trends and issues likely to impact the market.
- Provide executive level presence on behalf of T-Mobile within the Area.
