We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Requirements
Experis is partnered with a global manufacturer who has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer at their Athens, GA, facility. The Engineer will support the fabrication department that includes: robotic welding, copper tube bending operations, and powder paint operations in developing solutions to manufacturing problems
Other responsibilities:
* You will develop and document robots and capable manufacturing processes
* You will investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing and/or quality problems.
* You will establish time-standards for each operation and maximize efficiency
* You will identify and eliminate waste from the value stream using lean manufacturing principles
* You will recommend product design enhancements that will improve quality, reliability, efficiency, and overall manufacturability
Requirements:
* BS Engineering/Technical Degree
* 5 years relevant experience supporting fabrication operations and/or weld processes
* Understandingof IE processes such as time studies and cycle times
* CAD Skills
* Any experience with robots and robotic programming is helpful
