Accountant I

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Accountant I.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

As an Accountant I for our education client, you will perform professional and administrative work within the financial activities department. You will prepare and enter data into the financial management system regarding budget, expenditures, payroll, and related fiscal activities. You will complete and adjust journal entries, verify financial information, and prepare a variety of reports and records. Principles and practices of performing accounting and fiscal work, preparing and processing financial transactions and payrolls, and preparing extensive financial reports are required. Qualified candidates will have experience with the following: Fiscal year budgets, expenditure/cost allocation, monitoring daily cash flow,payroll, time & attendance records, reconciliation, payroll taxes, insurance and retirement payments. Candidates with knowledge of any regulations such as public law 102, OMB circulars A-87, A-21, A122, Tags, TIEG's, SDA issuances ad WIA regulations are preferred. You must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and a drug test. College degree in accounting/related field preferred but not required.
