CountryHouse in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Part Time Cook for WEEKENDS ONLY!
Will alternate weekends between buildings
10-12 hours (all 3 meals) Saturday and Sunday

The Cook will:
* Prepare meals and perform food service activities as required.
* With Resident Service Coordinator and Program Coordinator, help to plan food service for activities and special events on the weekends; organize/assist with culinary activities for residents to participate in and enjoy.
* Maintain a sanitary, orderly and safe kitchen and dining environment, in compliance with State and Federal regulations; maintain attractive appearance of dining and snack areas.
* Provide input to resident service plans.
* Work with new residents to assess likes, dislikes, special needs, and explain services and routines.
* Document resident meal participation and note/report changes or concerns to appropriate staff as directed; follow Community procedures when residents are ill.
* Help develop & implement new income-generating dining services.
* Allow residents to participate in appropriate cooking/kitchen activities to create meaningful moments.
* Must enjoy being a part of a family environment and making a difference for our residents!

Requirements:
* Experience working with seniors preferred.
* Food Handlers certification required or able to achieve
* Previous experience cooking for large groups in a commercial kitchen required.
* Knowledge of food handler and safety regulations.
* Must be able to be work independently
* Able to lift up to 35 lbs repetitively
* Able to communicate with co-workers and residents
* Able to write, read, and utilize math skills
* Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions
* Basic math skills necessary
* Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment
