Overall Responsibilities:

The maintenance person is responsible for completing minor repairs and maintenance on the ICF homes. The maintenance person is to assure compliance with applicable Life Safety Codes as required for licensure. To coordinate repairs and routine maintenance for company owned vehicles. To complete assigned lawn care tasks. To participate on the Quality Enhancement Team and other committees as assigned.


Description SUMMARY

The responsibilities of the Supervisor, Maintenance include the safety, preventative maintenance and repair of the homes, company property and the personal property of the individuals being served. This individual supervises the maintenance staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.

  • Ensure high quality service in the areas of repair, preventative maintenance, cost effectiveness and aesthetics.
  • Supervision of all maintenance staff, to schedule maintenance staff workloads, prioritizing according to the hours available and maintenance staff competencies.
  • Assisting with the service and repair of all company vehicles.
  • Arranging and coordinating proposals and bids from contractors and servicing companies as assigned.
  • Following all federal, state, and local agencies policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the company as related to safety and maintenance and buildings.
  • Ensure the safety, repair and preventative maintenance of the homes, company property and the personal property of the individuals being served.
  • Ensure the completion of all work orders.
  • Maintain and provide a current inventory and adequate supply of all equipment, tools, maintenance supplies and specified home supplies and equipment.
  • Driving and maintaining company and personal vehicles in safe and responsible manner.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises staff, to include direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary recommendations, and performance appraisal.

Qualifications Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Must possess three years of experience; supervisory experience preferred. Experience in custodial, mechanical, building maintenance or related field is required.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Current drivers license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services.
