Senior Financial Analyst

Financial Planning & Analysis

As Senior Financial Analyst for the Financial Planning & Analysis group, you would be a key contributor to the future success of the Planning team by providing a strong professional presence, technical expertise and a business/operational focus. You will work with management throughout the company to develop, track and analyze key performance indicators to assess and ensure operational strength. Together with the Director & the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will assist in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget and monthly forecast.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Use analytical skills to sift through large amounts of data and turn this information into key qualitative and quantitative financial analysis.
  • Develop new tools and analyses, independently and collaboratively, to provide insights into business trends.
  • Develop and deliver informative, well-organized executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Monthly forecasting and variance explanations of budgeted accounts with a strong focus on capital expenditure analysis.
  • Communicate complex analysis and results with recommendation to all levels of management, including senior management.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to partner with business units on important strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by department head.




Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience performing and improving complex financial modeling and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required, MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, Oracle Financials & Hyperion Planning or comparable applications or tools.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, profitability and return on investment modeling.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans and implement decision strategies.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
