Manufacturing Engineer

Looking to hire a manufacturing engineer to help drive continuous improvement and cost savings on their plant floor.

Primary Duties:

• Perform analysis (time studies-motion studies) to identify and implement improvements to the equipment and the processes in place
• Collect data and use statistical analysis to support continuous improvement and safety projects (safety direction will be huge for them)
• Use Kaizen, A3, PDCA, and KATA for analyzing the data
• Develop and document work standards and JHA (Job Hazard Analysis). Then implement and maintain programs and procedures to facilitate a safe work environment
• Help ensure compliance with all environmental, health & safety regulations. This will be another important piece of their responsibilities
• Plan and design manufacturing processes and equipment layout in relation to new product development
• Resolve design problems as it relates to dimensional tolerances, procedures, costs of tooling and then apply good ergonomics principles and standardized data to the work stations

Must Have:

• Technical Degree (BSME, BSMET, etc)
• Strong background relating to ergonomics and safety
• Strong continuous improvement or lean manufacturing background

Nice to Have:

• Plastics (injection forming, vacuum forming)
• Kazien, KATA, PDCA, or A3
• Technical ability on manufacturing floor
