Job Description:
A production company in Ramsey, MN is currently hiring for 2nd shift Mechanical Assemblers. Employees are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks required to assemble, prep sub-assemblies, and move completed units. There are 32 different machines they are responsible for assembling.
JOB DUTIES:
-Complete assembly of various models of machines following established procedures.
-Move machines as required.
-Verify completed machines meet quality standards and initial paperwork.
-Use a manual and electric pallet jack.
-Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment: This is a manufactuary facility and is not air conditioned, will get very hot in the summer. Employees are trained in on multiple assembly lines so must be versatile.
They dont work in an "assembly line", but more of an "assembly pod." The cells are composed of roughly 3-4 people where they will assemble certain machines. They will lean one "pod/cell" at a time and then cross train into the other areas. It is a very team oriented environment. Qualifications: MUST HAVE:
-A High School Diploma or GED.
-The ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
-The ability to bend/twist or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.
-6 months of previous working experience is required.
-Preferrably 6 months of previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
Able to work with power tools or hand tools, mechanically inclined.
Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing.
-Ability to operate small air, hand and electric tools.
-Ability to read work instructions and drawings.
-Ability to effectively communicate.
-Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
