Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a 40-bed level III neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery at UConn Health Center. This 224 bed teaching hospital located in Farmington, CT (Hartford, CT metro area).
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager the select candidate will:
Be a Registered Dietitian with NICU experience. Provide nutritional care to patients in the neonatal intensive care unit. Work proactively with the medical team. Prepare and deliver presentations to medical professionals and at community events. Provide nutrition education and work proactively with the medical staff. Precept dietetic interns. Position Summary
Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
