About this job

The Sr PM will act as Experis representative for tactical and strategic execution of the game test core team staff. The Program Manager will interact on a day-to-day basis with the customer Test Director, Test Managers, Senior Vendor Manager, and Experis staff located at client site.

He/she is accountable for the performance of test projects against pre-defined models (both test process and financial) that identify planned staffing, activity hours, cost of labor, expenses. The Program Manager will coordinate with internal Experis operational elements (such as HR, Recruiting, Finance, etc.) to ensure the continuity of operations prior to, during, and upon completion of a project.

In addition, the Program Manager will ensure that project milestones and deliverables are produced on time and according to specifications, coordinate schedules with other customer projects and activities, manage and assign team members based on their capabilities and skills, and integrate project schedules and resource requirements so that personnel and resources are utilized efficiently. The Program Manager will be responsible for driving cost savings through efficient use of resources from year-to-year.

The following are also responsibilities of the Program Manager:
Ensure that STEs, SDETs and SDEs are getting what they need
Manage team morale
Own the service execution strategy and plan
Work closely with customer Core Team Test Leads and Test Managers to make sure expectations are being set and met
Assume responsibility for continued development of Experis employees at all levels
Provide supervision, direction, and mentoring to the project team
Meet regularly with Test Leads to set project and technical direction
Assess the skills, competencies, and performance feedback to all team members, and identify high potential employees for future personal growth and development that can benefit the customer
Identify, understand the impact of, manage, escalate, and resolve issues and manage scope changes
Identify training needs for team members
Facilitate team communication
Conduct project review meetings with customer Test Leads and Managers
Act as a liaison between Experis mature Testing Practice and game test team
Focus on gaming industry trends and best practices
Provide oversight for simultaneous testing projects concurrently
Collaborate with Experis leadership from our other test programs to create synergies between the teams to add value to our overall games program portfolio.


One key aspect of the Program Managers role will be to build engagement and collaborate with the customer Test Leads and Test Managers, and develop improved ways of testing by refining current processes or recommending changes that result in reduced staffing costs and/or time for assigned titles while still maintaining the comprehensive quality of testing.

Job experience requirements & qualifications:
10+ years in IT and/or games in variously progressive roles
5+ years experience in video games
3+ years experience in QA or Test
3+ years experience as a manager/supervisor
Expert with Microsoft Office suite
Strong written and oral communications
Preferred experience working as a vendor to large enterprises
