Unix Network Administrator (entry-level) is needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Support existing operations and new infrastructure development, implementation, migrations and deployments in a 24x7 high-availability enterprise-wide IT environment.
- What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide around-the-clock support, monitoring applications and infrastructure systems for performance or security threats.
- Interfacing with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams, SME and stakeholders
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of three (3) years network administration and support
- DNS, TCP / IP, DHCP, Network Monitoring, firewall, Linux / Windows operations and support
- Able to communicate effectively between technical (i.e. engineers, developers, testers), non-technical (i.e. users, general staff) as well as cross-functional audiences
- BA / BS in Computer Science or related Engineering industries (preferred but not required for this role)
Bonus Points!
- Certification in any of these widely used vendors (e.g. MCP, CCNA, RHCSA, ITIL, etc.)
- Familiar with any of these: Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Splunk, Java, C / C++, SQL, Oracle, Perl. Etc
