Position Purpose :
The new and emerging Digital Developer position is responsible for translating designs and style guides into functional specifications, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance and compatibility for tablet and mobile devices. This position maintains the ability to code, create and deconstruct standard, static designs, typically Photoshop elements for creation of online banner ads and rich interactive media units and conversion into functional working ad units; QA's final content both pre and post publish to ensure placement to multiple sites and devices. This position is responsible for development and contribution to HTML/Flash templates. This position works closely with Sr. Developer(s) (e.g. Digital System Applications Developers) and with User Experience / User Interface Designer roles to ensure proper user interactive capabilities and best fit within designed digital wireframe layouts. In this role you will work with other marketing professionals, internal and agency counterparts and those who deliver digital content.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities :
40% Ability to create & deliver static & rich media ad units to meet technical requirements of multiple tablet, mobile & email specifications using available tools: Flash/Actionscript 2/3. Maintains content proficiency in image optimization for web/conversion of finished creative (Photoshop) to HTML for both static & rich units
30% Works w/staff to ensure optimization/ customization of OLA & localized email creative. Maintains awareness of standard digital media specifications, sizes, file size limits & serving platforms. Maintains a collaborative spirit - works w/key partners in areas of organization to handle heavy workload, prioritize work, & meet deadlines
20% Research, design and testing new software programs to agreed specifications. Documents all faults and helps resolve issues. Develops existing systems and methodologies and identifies areas for modification/improvement
10% Attends Digital Development planning meetings with clients as necessary

Environmental Job Requirements :
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

- Design and implement HTML and XSL content
- Participate in code and design reviews JavaScript, Frameworks (e.g. jQuery, MooTools, YUI, etc) Adobe CS/6 with emphasis on digital tools - Flash, Actionscript AJAX, APIs
- Familiarity with mobile and tablet device landscape IPhone, iPad, etc.
- Experience with social, mapping and other APIs Knowledge of social media ad and sponsorship standards
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT
- Responsive design experience preferred Mac environment, hardware and operating systems Specific Functional SW (e.g. Adobe Design Suite with digital concentration on Flash, Fireworks, Javascript, HTML, CSS/3 Computer Science or equivalent degree with appropriate Software Development discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job.
