MAJOR FUNCTION

The primary purpose of an Outbound Sales Representative is to proactively sell Bright House Networks services to current and potential customers via telephone (telemarketing).

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to the Following:

  • Contact current and potential customers via outbound telephone calls, both manually and via predictive dialer, and attempt to sell, up-sell, and bundle customers into packages that achieve specific business objectives and meet customer needs.
  • Handle phone calls and process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all company-wide standards and departmental expectations are met.
  • Utilize, maintain and continuously improve various sales and communication techniques, knowledge of Bright House Networks products; services; programming; prices; promotions; and technical skills.
  • Execute miscellaneous projects by contributing as requested in a positive collaborative and productive manner to the Outbound Sales team, the Marketing & Sales department and Bright House Networks.
  • Ability to quickly learn the Bright House Networks specific telephone and computer programs, systems and processes (e.g., order entry, scheduling, billing, third party verification).
  • Type 40 wpm.  Ability to multi-task on the telephone while simultaneously navigating through various computer systems

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Able to sit, communicate via telephone, type and read a computer screen for extended periods of time.  May also require standing, stooping and reaching.  Occasional day trips to other local Bright House Networks offices and locations for training and/or meetings.

Required Skills


  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly, persuasively and professionally in order to achieve the desired/expected sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Demonstrate proper use of the English language with proper enunciation in a pleasant, appealing and friendly tone.
  • Ability to professionally and concisely communicate in writing with correct spelling, composition and grammar.

Required Experience


  • High School diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • Possess knowledge, skills and experience in telephone sales and customer service.
  • Experience in Aspect Unified IP, ACSR or ICOMS preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Previous Telemarketing experience in an outbound environment preferred.
