Primary Responsibilities:



  • Liaise between Business Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Engineering teams, System Architects, and Project Management groups within Optum

  • Analyze requirements and demonstrate problem understanding, model business operations, analyze and design solutions as part of software development life cycle

  • Translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications, including use case scenarios, models, conceptual design diagrams, and user stories to support iterative development

  • Serves as a leader and mentor to team members

  • Assists in training and coaching team members in handling technical complexities of assigned work

  • Advise and support Engineering team during development cycle

  • Evaluate and present solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution

  • Collaborate with architects on design and build/buy/integrate decisions 

  • Consult with key stakeholders on complex systems integration issues

Required Qualifications:

 


  • Demonstrated success consulting with stakeholders on complex technical issues

  • Experience conducting analysis for systems integration programs as well as data analysis

  • 4+ years of experience conducting and facilitating requirements gathering and performing system analysis or equivalent business process analysis  

  • 4+ years of writing technical documentation such as business process improvement, workflow diagrams, models, technical specifications, user stories etc.

  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and managing a team of Systems Analysts

  • Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environment

  • Experience using written and verbal communication skills with various levels of management, stakeholders, and subject matter experts

  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 


  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Proficiency with MS Visio

  • Experience with Enterprise Architect

  • Experience with T-SQL

  • Knowledge of Relational Database concepts

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • Experience working with offshore teams
