This
function is responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing.
Positions in this function interact with customers gathering support data to
ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies.
Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective
management and control of the premium billing function. Educate customers
regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through
online applications. Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions
to ensure clients pay as billed. Manage the preparation of invoices and
complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables. May also include
quality assurance and audit of billing activities.



Note: Positions mainly responsible for more general A/R activities which
do not include medical and ancillary premium billing activities can be found in
the Accounts Receivable function in the Finance job family.

  • Serve
    as the first point of escalation for procedural and technical issues.

    staff members to effectively resolve all issues.
  • Develop
    and deliver presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Answer
    technical questions.
  • Use
    a balanced scorecard to provide regular performance reports to the Site
    Director.
  • Conduct
    meetings to communicate team performance results, opportunities, issues,
    and resource balancing.
  • Provide
    formal performance appraisals to effectively manage individuals.
  • Provide
    technical and soft skills training to staff members.
  • Recruit,
    develop and manage a high caliber workforce with minimal turnover.
  • Participate
    in Account Management Team calls and Finance as appropriate.
  • Support
    the implementation of new business or changes to existing business by
    acting as the billing lead to internal and external customers.
  • Resolve
    all service issues from customers, claims, and vendors.
  • Interpret
    customer requirements to process customer billing information.
  • Responsible
    for a maximum of 25 Senior Billing Representatives.
  • Coordinates,
    supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business
    support, technical or production team or unit.
  • Impact of work is most often at the team
    level.




Requirements

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 1+ year experience in Quality Assurance processes
  • Some travel required
Assets:
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 1+ years of billing experience
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience

  • Strong problem solving skills and organizational skills
