Machine Operator

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Machine Operator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Manpower is in need of a machine operator for a large beverage company in Littleton MA - IMMEDIATE HIRE This position pays $14 per hour, is 1st shift and will last up to early Fall. Job Description Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, sets up, maintains and cleans a label machine, vacuum pressure machine and associated conveyor mechanisms to insurance continuous quality labeling of all juice products. Must have good motor coordination and the ability to stand for long periods of time. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY: *Report immediately to your supervisor all conditions that may pose a risk to product food safety and/or quality. *Food Safety is Every ones Responsibility. *Insures conveyor mechanisms are properly installed and adjusted. *Reassembles label machine parts after wiping and cleaning and disassembles label machine parts for cleaning overnight. *Insert appropriate level into tray, depending on products run. *Fills glue pot and connects all hoses to label machine -maintains adequate amount of glue during operation of line. *Adjusts height of vacuum machine in relation to bottle size being run. *Inspects and removes defective product. *Each week cleans all equipment in label area, including label machine, glue pot, conveyors and general area. Lubricates and performs necessary general maintenance on equipment. *Keeps area clean and organized. *Performs other duties as assigned.
