Key Responsibilities:
The Production Operator physically manufactures quality, powder coatings in support of PPG Industries, Coatings and Resins.
The incumbent is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facilities manufacturing equipment and the quality of the product at every step of the manufacturing stage while meeting all safety requirements.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Successful completion of all employment selection processes & experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English,

Functional and Technical Skills:

• Must be able to operate a variety of industrial production related equipment, possess good math skills & mechanical ability, be flexible & willing to rotate work assignments readily & capable of forklift operation certification.
• Strong oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential. Must also possess problem solving skills, be capable of making logical decisions; and be capable of working without direct supervision and be focused on details and specification tolerances.

• Attendance; concern for quality, maintain work area in good housekeeping condition, initiative, ability to learn/job knowledge, adaptability, productivity & consistency. Teamwork, communication and attention to details are also essential.
