3M is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for 3M Valley, NE. Ready to be part of what's next?

The position of Maintenance Mechanic located in Valley, NE will maintain and install production and building equipment. They will perform a variety of construction, fabrication, repair and preventative maintenance work on plant production and facility equipment. The nature of work and chemical exposure is highly dependent on the area assigned as maintenance. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Using standard hand tools and operate common machine stop tools
- Measuring equipment, reading and interpreting sketches, blueprints and manufacturer's maintenance manuals
- Perform moving and installation of plant or production equipment requiring leveling set up/start up
- Use test equipment including voltmeters, ohmmeters, tachometer, and chart recorders
This position may require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working holidays as needed
- Short notice call in
- Working either a first, second or third shift depending on shift availability
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess or in the last six (6) months of pursing a two (2) year technical degree in an electro-mechanic field
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical power supplies, machine control devices, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment and electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- History working independently or with teams
