About this job
Performs a variety of manual and clerical duties involved in receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies for assigned area. Conducts physical inventory of materials/supplies/linens to ensure adequate quantities for use by members of the health care team.
Primary Responsibilities Pick products from warehouse inventory according to requisitions. Maintain correct inventory counts and financial reporting to the users through daily cycle counts/reporting and yearly physical inventories. Pack products in totes, boxes, pallets, or carts according to proper packing techniques for delivery. Label for delivery. Places delivery order(s) in assigned area for shipping or delivery. Load, unload and secure heavy cargo for delivery vehicles. May require the use of a forklift or pallet jack. Place delivery carts, pallets, totes, or boxes in assigned area. Unpack and check delivery against purchase order. Follow-up with the Purchasing department orders without a purchase order. Report any damaged boxes/products or discrepancies. Input purchase order and delivery ticket information into computer to maintain accurate records of material/supplies received and schedules for delivery. Ensure paperwork and signatures are completed and filed. Clean and maintain general working area and equipment. Attend training sessions and meeting as required.
Secondary Responsibilities
Loads/unloads, and operates trucks with gross vehicle weight of 12 ton. Maintains communication with dispatcher/supervisor and completes logs/records per standard. Performs minor emergency road service and notifies supervisor of current/anticipated repair needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Education - High School Diploma or GED
Experience - Successful completion of orientation and introductory period. Previous truck driving experience, At least 21 years of age.
Licenses - Drivers License -- MI Chauffeurs (MI CHAUF)
