Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead and Mentor/guide other software engineers within the team

  • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing

  • Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders

  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries

  • Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions

  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 3 weeks through Sprints

  • Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business

  • Identify areas of process improvements and build automated solutions to increase efficiency & productivity.

  • Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance

  • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required

  • Influence peers without authority by inspiring them to use cutting edge tools, follow best practices and build best of the breed solutions

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


 



  • 6+ years in Java/J2EE, SOA design principles, web services, ESB, ORM tools like Hibernate, ibatis etc.

  • 3+ years of experience in building automated deployment scripts via ANT etc.

  • Experience in IBM WTX, WESB and Mediations

  • Experience in performance tuning and scaling software systems.

  • Experience in Source control administration. i.e SVN, CVS etc.

  • Experience in UNIX scripting and commands.

  • 2+ years of experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Expertise across the entire SLDC

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Working Knowledge of EDI 5010 formats, specifically EDI 837

  • Demonstrated success designing and building high-quality, highly scalable commercial software applications

  • 3-5 years of Oracle PL/SQL experience – Preferably skilled in reviewing AWR reports and fine tuning complex queries

  • Basic understanding of mainframe systems and how GDG's work

  • Experience in the health care industry
