Job Summary :
An intern (typical 10-12 week, full-time schedule assignment) position is a temporary assignment with 3M's Corporate Student Programs. Corporate Student Programs is designed to provide 3M with the opportunity to identify qualified candidates for regular employment, and to provide students with the opportunity to integrate their academic knowledge with work experience. As a Student Programs participant located in Decatur, AL you will develop skills, and gain work experience in your field of study.
The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Intern will be working in the FMSCO Operational Technology Organization, collaborating with leaders in St. Paul as well as the Decatur facility to define the path forward helping to align the FMSCO strategic plan with the corporate Supply Chain strategic plan. With particular focus on leveraging the Centers of Expertise around the globe to improve supply chain performance and reduce cost.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Leading discussions and projects focused on understanding and aligning key strategic initiatives in regards to the FMSCO strategic plan
- Implementing action and control plans that will leverage key global partners within the extened supply chain.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from and accredited university in Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Strong Interpersonal Skills, with ability to influence and leverage global team members
Location: Decatur, AL
Travel: May include up to 25% Domestic Travel
Relocation: Is not authorized
