Senior Windows System Administrator - Secret Clearance Job - Full-time / Part-time

Senior Windows System Administrator needed for a contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Possession of or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required as a condition for employment.

Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

What You'll Be Doing:

- The prospective candidate will be responsible for supporting Windows-based systems (physical and virtual) for the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC).
- Principally Active Directory and Mail Services.
- They will develop and engineer the Domain structure and environment.
- They will share responsibility in engineering and provisioning a virtualization Infrastructure environment.
- They must have the ability to coordinate engineering and diagnostic activities with other systems areas (Network Operations, Data Center Operations, Help Desk, and Applications Development) and Engineering staff in supporting the analysis and recommendation of both technical solutions and maintaining the Windows Domain and virtualization infrastructure.
- They will diagnose any shortfall in these Services, and identify potential service issues.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelor of Science (BS) in related or equivalent technical field plus six (6) years of experience (6 additional years substitute the B.S.). Technical Certifications can be substituted for years of experience.
- Vendor CERTS for Windows (MCSE) and VMware (VCP) are plus.
- Security+ Certification required to starting work on Task Order.
- Must possess a minimum of an Interim Secret to start work on this Task Order.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory 2008 & 2012 Administration/ Configuration in medium to large scale environments; to include applying Windows Server Security Management practices: System Hardening and supporting security policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 2008 Server and Windows 2012 Server.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft architecture constructs.
- Advanced knowledge of MS DNS.
- Experience configuring and administering a VMware vSphere infrastructure.
- Six (6) plus years of relevant experience installing, maintaining, and administering Windows systems in a multiplatform environments with one (1) year of specialized experience in Windows engineering.
- Experience should include capacity management, performance management, and preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, and working with various technology disciplines in troubleshooting service deficiencies.
- Excellent technical skills, with strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies (i.e., Archival and Virtualization Solutions).
- Hands-on expertise in Troubleshooting (Diagnostic and root cause analysis), Enterprise Local and Wide Area Networking, and systems integration.
