Design Engineer Job

Design Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Jacksonville, FL.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Identify existing custom parts or special assemblies that can be utilized to meet the requirements of customer orders
- Support Mechanical Engineering & Design / Drafting efforts in the development of new parts and product, for specific customer applications. Design process will require Mechanical Engineering calculations and design in Solidworks design tool.
- Support Manufacturing on product builds and resolution of non-conforming product. Interface with the ERP and PLM systems to obtain technical information on parts and BOMs, to facilitate custom part selection for BOM completion
- Identify and transfer custom part design requirements to Engineering
- Identify missing and/or conflicting information on customer orders and raise issues to Order Management or Project Management for resolution
- Work with individuals in the Engineering group to understand and communicate technical requirements
- Support Engineering in the Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Engineering Change Notification processes

Qualifications:

- BS, Mechanical Engineering required
- Four (4+) yrs experience in mechanical enigneering and design
- Preference given to applicants with experience in working in an engineering environment, mechanical component design experience
- Knowledge of creating Engineering / Technical documentation; experience creating Bills of Material for commercial / industrial technical products; valve experience, knowledge of materials of construction and NDE inspection.
