POSITION PURPOSE -

The Regional Manager of Facilities Support coordinates with operational and tactical execution of facilities functions for THD distribution centers in their region. In close coordination with the Director of Facilities Support, and through sharing of best practices with the other regions, this person oversees and is responsible for planning, managing and reviewing activities and operations of their facilities, including building standards, grounds, energy management, and material handling equipment maintenance and automation required to support DCs. The Regional Facilities Support Manager builds partnerships with the site or facility specific General Manager of the facilities to collectively develop and execute strategies, initiatives and scheduled maintenance services in order to deliver safe and high performing facilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility. They will ensure uptime of critical facility operational equipment, provide asset protection, and coordinate with outside contractors regarding building services (custodial, grounds, etc.)to ensure a clean and safe environment. They are also responsible for coordinating activities with outside regulatory agencies in order to assure compliance with OSHA, federal, state and local codes and regulations.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
  • 30% Manages team to develop, maintain and utilize various tools to enable effective development, education and direction of Facilities Support team at each property.
  • 30% Assists in the development and implementation of sustainable and reliability centered maintenance programs.
  • 20% Develops, plans and implements Facilities Support department goals and objectives at an operational level per site and in coordination with the DFS, tactical level for their region in support of strategic goals for the Distribution Division; recommends and administers policies and procedures; coordinates department's activities with those of other THD and SC departments.
  • 20% Establishes short (one to three years) and long (four to six years) range capital plans and executes projects in a timely and fiscally responsible manner with utmost customer satisfaction. NATURE AND SCOPE - Position reports to Director of Facilities Support Direct reports include facility specific Facilities Support Managers and related staffs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: -
  • Minimum eight years of experience with directing Facilities operations with multi site distribution center format operated with high level of automation
  • Working and application knowledge of CMMS systems and reporting capabilities.
EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 05

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most all of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • BS in an Engineering or an Engineering Technology Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial field
  • Experience managing managers of facility level maintenance responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with managing complex material handling projects from concept to successful implementation
  • Experience deploying Tool/Parts Crib management solutions
  • Experience to interpret and apply federal, state, local and system policies, procedures, laws and regulations
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES - - Business acumen and strategic thinking skills - Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and able to effectively communicate - Ability to lead, influence and manage business partners and team of associates - Project and process planning skills and budgeting experience - Excellent at building relationships with strong customer service skills
