JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Sales Communications will support the communications and change management for the Americas Sales Organization. This position, as the communication and change management expert, will work closely with Sales Business Transformation and Planning, Americas implementation team, company communication disciplines, and key sales leadership in the Americas. The Sr. Manager is a key member of the Americas Continent Lodging Services PMO and Communications team and is responsible for 1) providing leadership and support on high-profile, cross-functional sales initiatives, 2) providing effective communication and change management across the U.S. sales organization and 3) designing and leading the communication planning process for Sales in the Americas.

JOB-SPECIFIC TASKS

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Develops a strong working knowledge of the key elements of Sales strategic plans for the Americas in order to effectively create communication materials and identify communication and change management opportunities. Creates and executes detailed communications and change management plans for pull-through of corporate Sales initiatives and continent-specific Sales organization initiatives. Supports communication needs for the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, The Americas. Partners with Americas PMO and Communications on properly sequencing Sales implementations and communications to ensure the sales offices, area sales, disciplines and hotels have capacity to implement and that the projects are as easy as possible to implement. Develops targeted communications (e.g., memos, videos, Frequently Asked Questions, presentations, collateral, webcasts, etc.) describing change, preparation, rollout measurements and milestones based on market needs. Owns Americas Sales communication channel standards, templates, and tools such as social media networking, TeamShare sites, web conferencing, and related sections of MGS. Creates presentations for Americas Sales senior leaders and key stakeholders (owners, associates, customers, etc.). Partners with Americas Events Team and BMSC Planning & Support to provide support (e.g., script writing, show flow, presentation materials, etc.) for Americas Sales conferences, customer events and meetings. Improves processes, actively seeks stakeholder feedback and focuses on designing processes and materials. Responds to adhoc analysis and requests.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Proven experience in global communications and change management. Strong business writing skills. Ability to present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong influencing skills with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to question information for validity and obtain timely closure on related issues. Excellent listening skills, willing to encourage ideas and resolve conflict in a positive manner. Demonstrates self-confidence and capable of building credibility among peers and senior management. High energy and enthusiastic about learning new skills and disciplines. Desire and ability to travel (potential travel TBD). Strong team player.

Required

Bachelor's degree required - preferably in communications or related discipline. 5 years of experience in lodging, consulting or communications related discipline preferred. Exceptional attention to detail. Previous consulting experience is a plus. Self-managing, motivating with high degree of personal accountability. Ability to manage dynamic work environment with ever-changing demands and deadlines of multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal skills in building and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships. Strong communications and influencing skills. Comfortable communicating to all levels within the organization. Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
