Description:
The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is
responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale
businesses, and ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit
Risk. WCAS' areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress
testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter
data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an
economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit and
capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice
and solutions to the originating businesses.
The Portfolio Analytics and Solutions team
within WCAS is responsible for conducting analytics on the Wholesale Portfolio
in order to perform a comprehensive review and analysis of our internal default
data
across all Wholesale businesses. This analysis will involve conducting
detailed studies on subsets of the portfolio in order to better align the
Firm's capital with the underlying credit risk.
The team also is involved in structuring solutions designed to reduce
the risk of the Firm's Wholesale portfolio.
The team is looking to hire an intern that
will be responsible for assisting in data gathering, portfolio analytics, trade
structuring, and project management functions on the Portfolio Analytics and
Solutions team.
Responsibilities:

Preparing,
analyzing, and validating results through analysis and discussion with the lines
of business
*
Participating in
ad-hoc projects involving various Wholesale lines of business and portfolio
categories
*
Working with the
technology, LOB Controllers, and other partners to implement changes to
methodology and enhance processes and data quality
*
Assisting in the preparation of progress reports and data analysis updates
*
Potential to
rotate into one of the other WCAS teams depending on need and fit at some point
Qualifications:
*
Bachelors degree;
concentrations in engineering/statistics/accounting and/or finance are pluses
as is an MBA or CFA
*
Strong analytical
skills in forecasting and interpreting results and comfortable working with
large quantities of data
*
Knowledge of traditional
credit products and our internal primary onboarding and credit risk systems
*
Knowledge of
corporate finance and cash flow based valuation methodologies
*
Strong technical
skills in using Excel, Powerpoint and Access; VBA and SQL skills are pluses
*
Strong project
management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple points of contact
in order to achieve results
*
Detail oriented and
strong organizational skills
*
Excellent
communication abilities, both written and oral; comfortable with conveying
specific data requests to data providers and presenting information to Senior
Management
*
Results-oriented
/ delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight
deadlines
