About this job
Now seeking experienced food service personnel for various catered events in Washington County and surrounding areas. Any candidate - either a chef or prep cook - must have a catering background and must be able to handle the bulk demands and hectic workflow for various banquet styles. The work is steady and much overtime is planned through to October.
* A chef should have great kitchen experience in managing workflow and exhibiting knowledge of the various menu items. Pay rate is $19.23 an hour. A proper candidate will have previous chef and kitchen manager experience with a catering background.
* A prep cook is paid $13 an hour and must be able to maintain quality and a stellar attitude through the stress and urgency that comes with catering. Previous catering and bulk preparation experience makes the premiere candidate.
* Hours will fluctuate and shifts vary depending on the scheduled event times. Candidates should be prepared to be available six days a week.
* A great attitude is a must and customer service skills are absolutely necessary (in instances of serving a carving station, etc.).
* Given the sporadic event locations, it is best suggested you have very reliable transportation means.
