Positions in this function review, analyzes, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale computer system. Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. This function provides expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing applications, and overall operating systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
- Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability
- Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems
- Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications
- Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications
- Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics
- Participates in the development of business strategy
- Develops and manages business plans to achieve objectives
- Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
- Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or High school/GED plus 10+ years of experience with System Development, Business Analysis, and/ or Supporting/ Maintaining Operating System
- 7+ years of System Development experience
- 7+ years of Business analysis experience
- 7+ years of experience Supporting/Maintaining Operating Systems
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server and VMware ESX/ESXi
- Previous experience with Enterprise level storage systems
- On-call rotation for 2 weeks every 8 weeks
