This position performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees and visitors.
Essential Duties Include:
*Assists the patient and/or family member with menu selection
*Delivers trays to patients and collects soiled trays
*Notifies Dietician of any irregularities
*Tends to patients food service requests
*Checks tray line to ensure 100% tray accuracy
*Checks patient's diet order per meal according to diet manual and patient food preferences, allergies, and food intolerances
*Responsible for patient satisfaction of meal service through delivery of all meals daily
*Demonstrates the ability to obtain and send pertinent information to and from nursing units
*Demonstrates basic knowledge of therapeutic diet and always uses, as reference, the approved Diet Manual and other guidelines provided
*Consistently demonstrates a willingness to help on work that needs to be done; willing to stay late to finish patient care responsibilities
*Maintains required logs for HACCP and snack tally on a daily basis
*Performs all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
*HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
*N/A
EXPERIENCE:
*One year of Food Service experience is preferred
