Business Development Rep - Full-time / Part-time

Our Client's Recycling Dept. is seeking a temporary employee to help reach out to new resources to obtain cores (scrap batteries) for recycling. This candidate will prospect for opportunities to acquire low cost lead acid battery cores (spent batteries) to be picked up by the local branch. Determine type and volume, negotiate price, and communicate with branch for PO issuance and transport arrangements.

Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationship with all suppliers and potential suppliers in an efficient
and cost-effective manner.
* Utilize internet research to identify channels for capturing lead/cores.
* Negotiate purchases and/or agreements with suppliers.
* Able to coordinate with the appropriate branch for purchase orders and pickups.
* Utilizes Salesforce.com to document all communication with prospective clients and/or existing customers
* Validates purchasing solutions (supplier and price/quality/timing conditions).
* Able to work well with branch and core teams,
* Identify new market opportunities through effective strategic planning and analysis.

This candidate will be using existing leads as well as generating their own leads through research and networking opportunities.
