Contract Technical Writer

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting a Technical Writer for their client, Genworth Financial.

The Contract Technical Writer is responsible for Policies and Procedures (PP) for operations. This role will identify opportunities to create new or modify existing PPs, work with cross functional teams to elicit the proper information to build PPs, ensure PPs are clearly communicated to the organization, and manage the resolution to any exceptions, misunderstandings or lack of adherence to published PPs.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years technical writing and editing experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office & Visio
• Self starter, ability to coordinate activities with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Comfortable as a “team player” and working with diverse client groups
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across a broad range of audiences
• Experience in creating business process and procedures

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills with an ability to outline initiatives and develop priorities in support of that vision
• Full customer lifecycle process improvements
• Familiarity with digital concepts and technology
• Experience developing and implementing Enterprise level processes
• Knowledge of insurance industry, products, regulatory environments, etc.
