SOA ADMINISTRATOR
Responsibilities
- Participation in Infrastructure Design, Architectural Design, Provisioning Release Design, and Network design sessions (capacity recommendations) for connectivity between Oracle's Data Center and Customer's premises
- Lead new installations, upgrades, patches and the documentation of procedures
- Perform complex network integration tasks and interoperability assessments for interconnected servers or components of clusters for communication, as needed
- Respond to operational issues while managing internal and external customers
- Collaborate with Oracle Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) to support hands-on deployment and production support for all Oracle Fusion Middleware components (SOA, OSB including WebLogic Application server administration)
- Provide incident/problem management support while adhering to the Service Level Agreements.
- Write/execute highly complex software and scripts such as UNIX shell scripts and JACL scripts to support systems management, perform log analysis and other system administration duties such as installing, configuring and maintaining systems along with recommending architectural solutions
- Perform root cause analysis and helps with problem management process for incidents
- Provide tactical solutions for leverage features of SOA
- Provide Oracle SOA functional subject matter expertise
- Mentor others in application functionality and production operations
- Collect, document all infrastructure requirements; complete the Infrastructure Requirements Document
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience
- At least 10 years of IT experience mainly in Oracle PeopleSoft implementations
- 7+ years of experience in Information Technology focusing on cross-platform infrastructure technologies, services and product implementations
- Deep knowledge with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA functionality and SOA design principles
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with 2 years of recent implementation experience
- Understand the integration of PeopleSoft HCM with other systems (PeopleSoft Financials, Campus solutions etc.)
- Ability to write technical documentation
- Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs
- Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent/related functions
- Experience with design, configuration, operation, repair, and tuning of technology systems
- Advanced experience writing and editing the most complex scripts used to perform system maintenance and administration
- Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and policies including demonstrated experience securing most complex server-based software
- Experience writing UNIX shell scripts
Preferred
- 5+ years of experience with Apache/IHS/IIS web server administration
- Demonstrated expertise with trouble shooting J2EE applications on Unix/Windows systems
- Experience WebLogic, CMS
