Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for New York Hospital Queens, a 500 bed teaching hospital. Main areas of coverage for this position are adult medical and cardiac units as well as a small pediatric unit. Great opportunity for a recent internship graduate.
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the selected candidate will:
Join part of dynamic team of 7 RD's and work every 3 rd weekend Be a Registered Dietitian or eligible for RD certification. Provides basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in basic principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 years work experience in health care including
hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term
care, retirement homes, or clinics, m eets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
