Sodexo is seeking a Environmental Service / Housekeeping Manager 1 for a Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation, a long-term care community in Carlisle, in south central Pennsylvania. As the housekeeping leader for the community you will supervise and schedule staff to exceed resident and client expectations.

This manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working with seniors and managing people, and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to manage the housekeeping operations and make every day a better day for our clients and residents. This manager will provide direct and indirect management to approximately 30 client union employees. Previous managerial experiance is highly valued and managing in a union environment is ideal.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with housekeeping in a mid-sized community and a working knowledge of DOH regulatory guidelines, though not required. The candidate must be flexible with work hours. This position is also responsible for the positive outcomes for all planning and organizing, incorporating the Sodexo Brand, in a respectful and appreciative manner.

The ability to train, mentor and motivate hourly staff will be necessary. The ideal candidate for this position will also have strong client and employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to manage direct reports, handle multiple priorities, and quickly grasp the essence of the situation and logically progress through solutions. This manager will have the ability to maintain Sodexo Senior Living housekeeping systems to ensure timely execution to standards.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for driving and improving the resident experience for the Seniors we serve.

Position Summary

Supervises hourly staff providing custodial service to client. Responsible for work force planning, Quality Assurance training and administrative functions for designated area. Typically reports to General Manager or Operations Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
