Valley Regional is currently looking for a Housekeeping Aide --EVS Dept.

The Environmental Services Aide/Tech performs cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition. The Environmental Services Aide/Tech will be familiar with the mission, vision and value statements of this facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Must follow the Seven Step Cleaning Procedure as required.

2. Patient room discharge cleaning is done according to Policy and Procedure.

3. Cleaning is done in assigned areas which may include patient rooms, nurses station, offices, waiting areas, private and public restrooms.

4. Additional duties include replacing sanitary supplies.

5. Cleans utility rooms and housekeeping areas as assigned.

6. Reports all maintenance defects to Supervisor.

7. Knows proper chemicals and amounts to perform job and is familiar with Hazards Communication Program.

8. Adapts to repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day.

9. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

10. Possesses ability to perform a variety of house cleaning functions under specific instruction with very little need for individual judgment and working out problems.

Prefer hospital experience with good customer service and communication skills.
