About this job
Now Hiring: Full Time On-Site Mechanic for our Sweeping Company. Our sweeper trucks are mostly Isuzu cab-overs, though we have a few GMC trucks as well. No experience with sweepers is necessary (training for maintenance of sweepers will be provided). General mechanical experience is required, diesel experience preferred. Experience with hydraulic systems preferred as well. Mechanic would also be responsible for the maintenance of our Chevy pickup trucks, Pressure Cleaner and Bucket Lift.
Details and Required Availability:
Must be available Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (mandatory 30 minute lunch). Also, must be available for on-call emergencies for the third shift sweeping crew. For example, if a tire blows out or a truck stops running at 2AM, the third shift manager on duty will call the mechanic to come out on site and repair the truck. Mechanic would be required to be available by phone every night in case of such emergencies. Take-home privileges of company vehicle are incentive for this added responsibility, and mechanic will be paid for hours worked in response to emergencies, from the time the call is received to the time the mechanic returns home
Hourly pay is negotiable, dependent upon experience.
