Lead Operator

Description

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Lead Operator for our Sterile Procedure Trays Division located in Waukegan, IL. The Lead Operator is responsible for performing executing daily priorities to ensure: raw material is received in a timely fashion to satisfy customer demand, or finished product is shipped for distribution.

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:

• 
  Delegate work to warehouse operators based on priority.
• 
  Able to work along with operators to accomplish daily goals.
• 
  Provide material to internal customers based on business needs.
• 
  Read, analyze, and execute system generated reports, hot sheets, and emails. Follow up is a must.
• 
  Use AS400 system to view our inventory
• 
  Monitor 6 S program and Safety for assigned warehouse area.

Qualifications:

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• 
  Previous warehouse experience required.
• 
  Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• 
  Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 
  Team player that can communicate with leads on current shift as well as other shift.
• 
  Ability to read, write and speak English.
• 
  Detailed orientated, good organizational skills.
• 
  Able to take direction from Supervisor.
• 
  Prior experience in distribution or receiving.
• 
  AS400, RF & MS Office experience required.
• 
  Previous leadership experience preferred.
• 
  Certified forklift operator required.
• 
  Basic math (addition and subtraction) required.
• 
  Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.
• 
  Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
• 
  Work is to be done standing up.
• 
  Must have high sense of urgency.
• 
  May need to work at off-site warehouse based on business needs
