Newsroom Administrative Assistant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Candidate should have experience and familiarity with office systems and processes as well as some experience with editorial operations
- Candidate should also have the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work independently
What You'll Be Doing:
- Office administrator to support the editorial department's operations and leadership
- The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the digital executive and managers as well as the staff of the Digital Editorial team
- Duties include general office support, scheduling interviews, meetings and travel, processing and tracking freelance invoicing and payments, office expense management, and on-boarding new recruits
- Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- May have the potential to assist editors with basic story production, packaging, generating multimedia elements and work on individual projects as assigned
